Please make every effort to call and cancel or reschedule when possible to avoid such situations.

  • Late Pick-Up: $20

if the pet is not picked up within a specified timeframe.

Reasons for grooming surcharges:

  • Extra Time and Effort:

Dealing with mats, behavioral issues, or infestations can significantly increase the time required for a groom, leading to extra charges.

  • Specialized Products or Techniques:

Some conditions, like flea/tick infestations, may require the use of specialized products or techniques that aren't part of the standard grooming process.

  • Safety and Well-being:

Surcharges for special handling or biohazard cleaning are often implemented to ensure the safety of both the groomer and the pet.

  • Fair Compensation:

Some groomers argue that surcharges are necessary to ensure that they are fairly compensated for the additional work and time involved in certain situations.

Factors that can contribute to a handling fee:

  • Aggression:

If a pet is aggressive or bites, causing harm or strain to the groomer, a fee may be charged.

  • Difficulty with restraint:

If a pet is difficult to restrain, requiring multiple groomers or specialized techniques, a handling fee may apply.

  • Excessive mess or accidents:

If a pet defecates or vomits during the grooming process, requiring additional cleaning or handling, a fee may be charged.

  • Inability to be groomed without assistance:

If a pet is unable to be groomed without the assistance of another staff member, a handling fee may be applied.

  • Prolonged time required:

If a pet's behavior significantly increases the time needed for the groom, a fee may be considered.
