Cerberus Salon & Spa Grooming/Self-Service Agreement

Pets are accepted for grooming only under the following circumstances....

 Current Vaccinations/Veterinarian Information:  Cerberus Salon & Spa Prefers all pets entering our facility to be up to date on vaccinations. however, If your Pet does not have a Valid Rabies vaccination the pets owner, (or Agent) will be held responsible for any medical treatment expenses, court costs, any associated costs and/or fees required as a result of said bite, and any loss of wages incurred during treatment. A $20 special handling charge will be added to the service charge.

 

Aggressive or Dangerous Pets: Owners MUST inform Cerberus Salon & Spa if your pet(s) bite, has bitten, or is aggressive to people, other pets or specific grooming procedures. Muzzles may be used if necessary. Muzzling will not harm your pet, and protects both the pet and the groomer. Cerberus Salon & Spa reserves the right to refuse/stop services for such pet(s) at any time before or during the grooming process, and charge a handling fee for Aggressive Dogs in addition to the regular grooming charge. If the pet should bite, the owner agrees to be responsible for any and all related medical bills, recovery costs, loss of income and equipment damage. 

 

Health, Medical Problems & Senior Pets: Grooming procedures can sometimes be stressful, especially for a senior or ill pet. Grooming can also expose hidden medical problems or aggravate a current one during or after the groom. Because these pets have a greater chance of injury, these pets will be groomed for cleanliness and comfort. In the best interest of your pet this contract/agreement will give Cerberus Salon & Spa permission to obtain immediate veterinary treatment for your pet should it be deemed necessary. We will do our best to contact you first, and then take your pet to Sumner Veterinary Hospital. It is agreed that all expenses for Veterinary care will be covered by the pet's owner upon signing this contract/agreement. 

 

Matt Removal: Pets with matted coats need extra attention during their grooming session. Mats can be very difficult to remove, and may require the pet to be shaved. When necessary, removing a heavily matted coat includes risks of nicks, cuts or abrasions. Heavy matting can also trap moisture and urine near the pet's skin allowing mold, fungus or bacteria to grow, causing skin irritations that existed prior to the grooming process. After effects of mat removal procedures can include itchiness, skin redness, self-inflicted irritations or abrasions and failure of the hair to re-grow. Shaved pets are also prone to sunburn and should be kept out of the sun until the hair grows sufficiently to protect the skin. In some cases pets may also exhibit brief behavioral changes. There is an extra charge for any necessary de-matting. 

 

Accidents: There is always the possibility that an accident could occur. Grooming equipment is sharp, even though we use extreme caution and care in all situations, possible injuries could occur including cuts, nicks, scratches, quicking of nails, etc. Every effort will be made to ensure your pet is groomed as safely as possible. 

 

Parasites: Pets with fleas or ticks will need to make a special request appointment ($20.00) you will also be charged a standard bath charge for your pet and $30 pest fee/surcharge, this fee covers the flea and tick shampoo, and the cost of deep cleaning and treatment of the salon. The special request appointment is $20.00 and is a private appointment to protect other clients Pets from possible contact with pests.

  • If any fleas or ticks are found during the grooming process, your pet will receive a flea  & tick bath to kill the parasites any ticks found will be removed and a $30.00 Pest Surcharge will be applied to your bill. Please note that parasites are a health hazard to your pet as well as to humans.

Additional Rules for our Pet Wash

  • You may bring your own shampoo or conditioner to bathe your Pet with; however, this will not affect the price of the service.

  • If you do not use the full hour, you will not receive a discounted rate.

  • Children 16 years old and younger must be attended by and under the supervision, and control of a parent or responsible adult at all times.

  • Should your pet urinate or defecate while in the salon.  A $10 sanitation and clean up fee will be added to your bill.

  • We ask that you please place any used towels, brushes, clippers, and shears that are used, in the provided bins to be cleaned and sanitized by the staff.

  • Pets that have been skunked will need to make a special request appointment ($20.00); this is a private appointment to limit discomfort to other clients.

  • Cerberus Salon & Spa, Owners, Employees, or Agents will NOT be liable for any injuries or damages to you, your pet, or any personal items while using our Self-Service Pet Wash/Salon.

 

Payments: Payment is to be made at the time of service. Payment can be cash, credit card, or touch to pay.  Our rates are based on species, breed, coat type, weight, and duration of the groom.

 

Cancellations: We follow the National Weather Service for Severe Weather Updates. We try to work as long as conditions are not dangerous. If you are unsure, please call us to confirm. Cancellation and rescheduling of an appointment, by the client, requires 24 hours’ notice to waive the $20 appointment fee. In the event of severe weather, a family emergency or any other uncontrollable circumstance, the groomer has the discretion to waive the fee within the 24hour period. We reserve the right to cancel or reschedule a groom if we feel the need to do so. Every effort will be made to reschedule at a time convenient for both the client and the groomer.

 

No-Shows: It is considered a "no-show/no-call" when the client is not available at the scheduled appointment time and does not contact the groomer to cancel or reschedule.

  • We have a $20 No-Show/No-Call Fee on appointments. After 5 No-Show/No-Calls We reserve the right to charge the FULL grooming fee due to the loss of revenue caused by a "no-show/no-call". After this We reserve the right to terminate you as a client. Please make every effort to call and cancel or reschedule when possible to avoid such situations.

 

Late Pick-up: should you not pick up your animal within 1 hour of completion of services (grace period) there will be a late pick-up charge of $10.00 every 5 mins over the grace period.  Should you fail to pick up your pet after an additional 30 minutes past the grace period you will be charged $50.00 on top of your service bill and late fees for boarding. If by the next morning you still haven’t picked up your pet it will be turned over to local animal control/ Tacoma humane society for you to pick you we will provide them with any owner information we have on file for you.

 

Photo Release: I authorize Cerberus Salon & Spa and Associates to take my Pets photographs. I authorize the Cerberus Salon & Spa Associates to use my Pets photos on Facebook, Instagram and any other social media platforms, and its company Website (www.cerberuspals.com). I authorize Cerberus Salon & Spa and Associates to edit, alter, copy or distribute the photos for social media advertising and marketing. I agree that all intellectual property rights of the photos belong to Cerberus Salon & Spa and Associates. I agree that I will not receive any monetary compensation for the use of my Pets photographs on any social media platforms or Websites.

We reserve the right to refuse service to any pet or client for any reason.

By signing this contract, I acknowledge and agree that I have carefully read and understand that I am using the Self-Service Pet Wash at Cerberus Salon & Spa to wash my own pet(s) and/or the grooming services provided by Cerberus Salon & Spa. I agree to hold harmless and indemnify Cerberus Salon & Spa and its Owners, employees, invitees, and guests from any liability, claims and damages, to my pet(s) or myself including reasonable attorneys’ fees, for loss, injury including slips and falls, illness caused by my pet to persons, other pets, or property. I further release Cerberus Salon & Spa and its Owners and employees from liability, claims, and damages, including reasonable attorneys’ fees, for any illness, injury caused to my pet, unless resulting from gross negligence or willful misconduct. I also further understand and agree to the rules and terms set forth by the Cerberus Salon & Spa Grooming/Self-Service agreement and have had the opportunity to discuss its terms with Cerberus Salon & Spa to my satisfaction and acknowledge that said agreement can change at any time, without notice, and will overwrite any and all prior signed contracts or releases.
